Apology and photos from my recent travels...
by Matt Wilson - 13/12/2010 2h07Hi everyone,
Firstly, I must apologise for the current state of the website, especially the overwhelming amount of spam from a single pain in the arse member who for some reason has still not had her (or his??) account deleted. I regret that the website appears to have been 'left to die', and I wish I had the IT skills to run the website by myself, but unfortunately I do not have the knowledge that Daniel has.
All I can think is that Daniel is either extremely busy or he has lost interest in the website, and perhaps also Herpetology as well. I am still hoping he will post on the website soon to let everybody know that this is hopefully not the case, but I suspect it is with the lack of recent activity.
If I had the IT knowledge and full control over the website I would surely accept the requests of supporting moderators etc, but I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens and hopefully the website is not about to close.
On a brighter note I have spent the last 2 weeks in Costa Rica on an amphibian based excursion, the highlight was finding 3 adult Cruziohyla calcarifer (pictured below), a species that was almost extinct not many years ago. You can find links to my photos from this very enjoyable trip here:

Sadly Costa Rica and its humid climate finally killed off my Canon SLR that I have been using for many years :-(
All the best,
Matt
