Pelophylax at Croatia
by Jesus Diez - 26/7/2010 11h04Hi again folks:
A friend has sent to me a photo of a frog that she took in a recent travel to Croatia, at the moment i don´t know the exactly location, but i have answered for it.
Well, now i put here the pics and after explain my opinion, hoping that somebody would give me a solution, please.

Tibia length vs femur length: The one in the second photo seems to have equal length, and in the third the tibia looks longer than the femur.
The total relative length of the legs looks short to be ridibundus (in my opinion).
The Skin coarseness of the back seems not very strong, wich matchs with ridibundus and sculentus.
I have used this document, very interesting, that i leave here if you want to check out. My opinion is that almost one of those could be a Ph. esculentus for the intermediate characters between ridibundus and lessonae.
Could you give me you opinion please?
Thanks a lot.
