A walk in the park
by Vlad Cioflec - 27/6/2010 14h58Dear friends,
This Sunday we took our two weeks old daughter for her first tour of the `local patch`.
Her mom was doing a little birding while still watching over her like an eagle and i went looking for herps. Not too far though, usually less then a hundred meters. :)

Lots of Red-eared Terrapins, and just a couple of Pond Turtles. And a few Marsh Frogs as well.
Of course we do not stick to the asphalt walkways. Whenever we got the chance, we went off-road, cause that`s where the wild things are. No complains from the baby so far. The stroller might need some repairs pretty soon though. :)

Syrian Woodpecker - confident and fun to watch
The favorite find of the day was waiting for me under a rock. Don`t you just love flipping?!

Sand Lizard
And here is Maria with her first lifer. As you can clearly see, she passed out from all the excitement :)

Happy herping everybody!
