Fieldherping in the Carpathians

Yesterday i went with my wife and fellow forum member Dorin Pop to study a newt population for his phd, and of course to see what else we could turn out.
We saw a total of 10 species, but only managed to photograph eight... Damn you deep diving Bufo bufo and shy Lacerta viridis!

The only reptiles we caught - Pond Terrapin and Common Wall Lizard:


Fortunately the amphibians were more camera friendly:
