Guide to the Reptiles and Amphibians of Europe
by Daniel Phillips - 31/3/2010 23h09I've come across a relatively new book (June 2009) by Axel - Guide to the Reptiles and Amphibians of Europe.
It's basically the same type of book as the field guide we all have (maybe not) - I'm talking of course about the Collins Field Guide by Arnold.
This book however is illustrated by rich photos.
I had the chance to flick through it when I met three scientists studying Hyla meridionalis close to my home on sunday evening, when I got home I immediately bought it on amazon, english and french editions.
This book includes a few handy features, such as the photos as opposed to drawings that the collins guide offers, but also a colour map, and up to date species names and info.
I highly recommend it.
I should get them on friday.
However the price difference is somewhat surprising...
