Hello everyone,

Could anyone tell me from this photos if the newt is L.vulgaris or L.helveticus?It was found in north-west London.It had the belly of vulgaris(dark orange,big black spots) but I can't recognize the hollow between eyes and nostrils that vulgaris is supposed to have!I have almost no experience with newts in particular,so I'm a bit puzzled!Cheers!
