Does it actually say that it was found on Ibiza? I'm not really buying this... 

Yes it does, at the exact place I stayed when I visited Ibiza, alot of boats go to and from there to the other islands. I've never heard of snakes being there before though.

It says at the end of the post that several snakes were believed to have arrived on Ibiza hidden inside olive tree trunks as they were shipped. Presumably these trees would have come from Majorca or Minorca, but I assume that is just guess work from anybody concerned/interested in this story on Ibiza. 

If the story is true it would be interesting to follow the lizard-populations and see if there is any decline in numbers (such as the alleged extinction from P. lilfordi on Majorca and Menorca by the introduction of snakes).
