Looks like a really wonderful trip you guys had. The landscapes and the species seem really interesting. I especially like the 2 finds of an Echis.

I take it the area is very low in amphibian densities owing to the aridity?

Cheers guys - yes it was really an amazing trip. Really nothing negative, only beers in very vulnerable.
We will definitely go back - next time to the Dhofar region in the south with the target species Platyceps thomasi.

This area is influenced by Monsoon and has a different spectrum of species with also Bitis and Naja
and also 4 nesting sea turtles... 

Brilliant report! Excellent pictures and an informative, entertaining description (at least in German). This made me want to go there, too...
