December snakes!
by Ilias Strachinis - 6/12/2009 15h53Hello everybody!
Greetings from a very warm Greece. And this is the bad thing I suppose...
Here the weather is a mess, right now I'm wearing just a t-shirt on top and the windows are fully opened. I can go out for a walk like this. In the middle of November I saw a V.ammodytes crossing a dirt-road and Maria Ganoti (from http://www.wild-anima.gr/ ) told me that they collect two snakes (gemonensis and fallax) in the middle of Nea Smyrni and Attica square (both are in Athens) just the last... week! Oh yes, snakes are moving around at December here.
Do you believe this "bad" weather will affect reproduction of reptiles and amphibians? I'm afraid so...
What do you think?
