Hi, my name is Andy and I am planning a trip to Europe this summer (Germany for sure, and somewhere else).

Someone bought me the old 1978 Collin's field guide. I also see there is an updated guide in 2002 and a Princeton guide from 2003. What is the difference, other than the Princeton guide being A LOT more money?

I think the Princeton guide is out of print, but Arnold seems to be the author for all books.

Here in the states THE guide is the Peterson's by Conant. Not sure what book is best for Europe.

Any help would be appreciated.
