Inspired by frequent negative reactions to the animals I love (as well as having an Interest in Herpetology, I work in an Invertebrate Zoo with Arachnids, Insects etc) I am writing a piece for my University newspaper.
I want the focus to be on not why the general public often dislike such animals (there is lots of info on phobias, picking up phobias from parents etcs!!) but rather what can and is being done to change such perceptions.
I am interested in hearing from members about:-
a) experiences regarding opinions on amphibians and reptiles across Europe !
b)Any projects/places etc they know of or are involved with that educate people about the importance of conserving amphibians and reptiles!
If anyone has any thoughts on these topics or anything related that may be of use for an article (I will happily quote you or not depending on personal preference) I would be most grateful.
