Hello Tibor,
you can download the pdf of the Habitats Directive on this link:
http://ec.europa.eu/environment/nature/legislation/habitatsdirective/index_en.htm
There, choose the consolidated version of 2007. There you will find all species of Mauremys listed in Annex II and IV.
And to correct Ilias, not all species are protected in the EU! In France for example, Vipera aspis and Vipera berus are not fully protected! Same with Rana temporaria and Pelophylax kl. esculenta, they are not protected in France! There's no law that prevent people from collecting these two species of frogs when they are found on the ground or in closed pieces of water in France. Crazy, isn't it?
In the EU, countries have to implement the Habitat Directive, therefore all species listed in Annex II and IV are protected in the EU. Other species can be protected, but it's not always the case.
The Bern convention lists the species that should be protected in the countries that are member of the Council of Europe, but there's no legal obligation for the countries to implement the recommendation of the Bern convention.
Regards
